- Dearest Bhakthas of
Lord Venkateswara,

- Adiyen would like to
take a few moments to elaborate on the scope of this project
and some of our future plans.
-
- In December 1999 Sri
Satakopan of New York proposed that we should make a tribute
to Lord Venkateswara by creating a homepage for a detailed commentary
on Swami Desikan's Daya Shatakam .Adiyen was agreeable to this
idea and began on a draft.Realizing the magnitude of the Stotra
we came to realize that it will be beneficial to acquaint readers
with some of the history , culture and developments surrounding
Tirumala which served as an inspiration to Swami Vedanta Desika's
mammoth composition.

- We spent weeks discussing
the matter and approached TTD for assistance as we needed plenty
of pictures.We received a message from TTD within 24 hours approving
our request to use photos from their online archives. From thereon
other devotees and well wishers came forward and the site started
developing at a fast pace.We did an initial launch on Sankaranthi
2000 and the response was warm.

- Over time our website
host www.homepage.com ,suspended their hosting business and we
put the project on hold.Now once again by the anugrahams of HH
45th Pattam Azhagiya Singar of Ahobila Mutt and HH Poundrikapuram
Andavan Swami of Sri Rangam ,this project has taken off in a
big way.

- Sri Muralidhar Rangaswamy
has been of great assistance in the trancription of the Daya
Shatakam with English Commentary which will form the backbone
of this project.The section on Daya Shatakam will be a samarpanam
to Acharya Sarvabouman -Srimad Gopaladesika Mahadesikan of Sri
Rangam who recently celebrated his Sadabhishekam. The main pages
have been offered as Samarpanam to the 45th Azhgiyar Singar of
Ahobila Mutt.

- The
beauty of this project is that it has brought together Sri Vaishnavas
of all backgrounds regardless of their Acharya Parmpara and has
united everybody as one community serving Thiruvengadamudaiyan.Our
brothers from Thennacharya Sampradayam-Sriman Vijayaraghvana
and his father,Sri T.A Srinivasan of Kanchi, have also volunteered
their services by working extremely hard - between North and
South India to prepare articles on Sri Ramanuja's Kamikaryams
at Tirumala,etc.

- This is also the only
website on Thiruvengadamudaiyan to even mention on the koil agamams
and the recovery of the archamurthy of Lord Srinivasa by Sri
Viganasa Maharishi , the founder of Vaikahansa Agama system of
worship.

- As we progress further
into this project, we will see much more information on the daily
rituals as per Vaikhanasa Agama Sastra, stotras of Swami Desikan,
Panchasukthams and Srinivasa Gadyam- a grand prayer glorifying
thr Lord of Tirumala.

- All in all it is our
prayer to our respective acharyans and Thiruvengadamudaiyan that
this project should one day become the best Venkateswara homepage
in the world.
